Where is Stalis Beach Located
Stalis is a lovely beach village on the northern side of Crete, right in the Heraklion prefecture, only 35 kilometres from Agios Nikolaos town and 1.5 kilometres from Malia village, 40km from Heraklion International Airport. Lasithi is the easternmost regional unit on the island of Crete, to the east of Heraklion and west of Its capital, Agios Nikolaos, the other major towns are Ierapetra, Sitia and Neapolis. Malia antiquities Beach
Fantastic clear blue waters and a wide variety of beach activities, Malia antiquities Beach is perfect for families. Sun loungers and umbrellas are very few available for rent, and there is a great place to enjoy the beach and relax on a free plaz place umbrellas. Plus, you don’t have to worry about your kids since the waters are shallow and calm. It is worth visiting the beach.
Hersonisos Limanakia Beach
Hersonisos is considered a small city, it has all a visitor needs to spend many days without getting bored. The limanakia place is a pebbled beach close to Stalis. It is another great spot for swimming and sunbathing. There aren’t many beach amenities available here, but the views make up for it. Also, Limanakia is quite quiet compared to some of the other beaches in the area so it’s perfect if you’re looking for some privacy. There is a part that naturists use!
Anisaras Beach
Anissaras is a beautiful narrow beach that is well maintained as the most clean of the area. They are sand-covered and have clear, shallow water, making them excellent for children.

By Car
There are many ways to reach this beautiful beach but the best choice is to go for rental cars. A car rental allows you to have the flexibility to visit different beaches during your stay and not to make you feel bored, as well as explore other areas of the eastern Crete. You can get a rental car in Stalis or book one online.
To get to Stalis Beach, simply take the main road heading east of Heraklion airport and follow the signs going to Malia, it is 2km before. The trip will take you about 27 minutes from Heraklion city.
By Taxi
Another way you can get to Stalis Beach is by taxi. If you’re not comfortable driving in Crete, this may be a better option for you. Taxis can be found at the Heraklion International Airport. This short trip from Heraklion to the beach should cost you around €37 and will take around 27 minutes to reach, depending on the traffic and if the road is open, it is sometimes necessary to use the old national road.
By Bus
If you’re on a low budget, you can also use the bus transportation. Busses are a common means of travelling around Crete and can be found in most towns. To get to Stalis Beach, walk to Heraklion port Central Bus Station. Once there, board a bus going to the Agios Nikolaos or Sitia. There is a direct bus departing from Agios Nikolaos city too, east of Stalis and arriving at Stalis and busses depart eight times a day (Monday to Sunday). The journey takes about 40 minutes and will cost you about €12.
